Miss Diana by thomas-michael-art Miss Diana by thomas-michael-art
The "British Marilyn Monroe," the ultra sultry Diana Dors, from a film still. Hard to tell why she never really made it big in the States, other than just about ANY British performers were persona non grata here until 1964 ;)

I'm really liking this Strathmore 500 series charcoal paper I just got. Funny enough, when I use Canson Mi-Teintes, I always draw on the "smooth" side, since the rough, "pebbled" side just doesn't look right to me. But with the Strathmore, there's something very pleasing about the Ingres pattern in the paper to me at least. The pencil and charcoal just "looks right" for some reason.

Charcoal, colored pencil and white charcoal on Strathmore 500 series charcoal paper, 12 X 18 inches.
